Sustainability takes center stage in this edition of the Games. Harbin will host ice sports at five venues, while Yabuli will host snow events at eight. Yabuli, located 190 kilometers from Harbin, offers a scenic yet functional setting.

Organizers will use energy-saving materials and low-carbon technologies in all 13 venues. Renovations will precede new construction, ensuring minimal environmental impact without sacrificing quality.

Preparations have been ongoing to ensure seamless execution. Fourteen test events, scheduled from September 2024 to January 2025, will help fine-tune operations and logistics.

The city of Harbin will add its unique cultural flavor to the Games. Activities in the Athletes’ Village will celebrate local traditions, and the famous Ice and Snow World will also serve as a hub of excitement.

Visitors can enjoy ice acrobatics performances and an opera art parade. Heilongjiang’s intangible cultural heritage will be fully displayed, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the city.
