The Japanese government has officially started the process to take Nursing caregivers from Nepal. According to the notice published by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare of Japan, an examination for the Nursing Caregiver will be held very soon.


How many people will be selected from Nepal for the Nursing Caregiver this time?

Only a thousand applicants will be selected for this first round of Nursing Caregiver opportunities. Those applicants who fill up the examination form initially will have the opportunity to participate in the examination.


How to Submit the application?

Until we prepared this information – the official notice mentioned that the applicant could also submit their candidacy online. However, it does not mention the website link where the applicant can submit their form online.

But, it is mentioned that candidates should get their token either from the Japanese Embassy or the designated office by the Japan Foundation to fill up their application for the examination.

It is not yet decided where and which exam center the examination will be conducted in Nepal.


Additional Info About Nursing Caregiver opportunity in Japan For Nepalese Workers

The fee for both examinations is fixed as one thousand Japanese Yuan. There is no educational qualification specified in Nursing Caregiver candidacy. However, the Japanese government set the outline of the examination that one should pass the Nursing Care Skill evaluation test and Nursing Care Japanese evaluation test.

Nepal has already agreed with Japan to take the Nepali workers. It is mentioned that Nepali workers going to Japan will get the same wages and benefits as Japanese citizens.

There is an agreement between the Nepal government and the Japanese government that Japan will take the Nepali workers from the 14 different sectors, including food services, cleaning, construction, agriculture, fishing, vehicle repair, and industrial machinery operation, etc.

1 – Nursing Care Skills Evaluation Test

  • It will be a 60 minutes examination where you have to solve 45 questions
  • 40 questions will be the written exam out of which ten questions will be from Fundamentals of care, six questions will be from mechanisms of the mind and the body, four questions will be from communication skills test, and the rest 20 questions will be from Physical care
  • Five questions will be practical where the practical exam is conducted by the CBT method
  • Method of difficulty for the Nursing Care Skills Evaluation Test is Computer-based testing, i.e., CBT method

  • The fee for this test is approximately 1,000 JPY
  • The examination result will be shown on your login page within one month later after the test.
  • The passing grade for the Nursing Care Skills Evaluation Test is 60% of the total score.

2- Nursing Care Japanese Language Evaluation Test

  • This examination will be a total of 30 minutes with 15 question
  • Five questions will be from the technical terms of care, five questions will be asked from the care communication, and the rest will be from the documents of care.
