The Tong Chong Street Market (TCSM) returns to Hong Kong this November, offering fresh food, music, and play. Running from November 16-24 at Taikoo Place, the event will be open daily from 11 am to 8 pm.
Entry is free, and everyone is welcome to experience the market’s unique mix of food stalls, live performances, and, for the first time, a mini-golf adventure.
Since 2015, TCSM has grown from a small Sunday market to a celebrated citywide event. Over the years, it’s attracted more than 2.8 million visitors. With seasonal pop-ups and themed weekends, TCSM has become a highlight of Hong Kong’s cultural calendar.
For this 2024 edition, the market has new attractions and classic favorites. Attendees can expect a mix of delicious foods, local music, and exciting activities. There’s something here for every type of visitor.
One of this year’s big highlights is the Crazy Golf Experience. Unlike traditional mini-golf, this setup features nine unique holes, creatively spread across indoor and outdoor spaces at Taikoo Place. Players will get a miniature tour of Quarry Bay and Taikoo Place, with winding streets and tiny buildings capturing the neighborhood’s spirit.
Tickets for the Crazy Golf Experience cost HKD 150 per person. They’re available online and at the venue. Each ticket allows access to all nine holes and includes exclusive dining offers at the market—a perfect blend for those who love food and fun.
In addition to mini-golf, TCSM introduces ‘Such a Good Festival,’ its first-ever busking and live music showcase. Set for November 21 and 22 during lunchtime and happy hour, this event adds extra entertainment to the market’s lineup.
Famous singers, rising local talents, and diverse musicians will create a lively atmosphere throughout the week.
For music lovers, the showcase offers a mix of jazz, indie, pop, and local traditional sounds. This variety ensures there’s something for every taste. The full artist lineup and ticketing information will be announced soon, adding to the excitement.
While music and games bring added fun, the culinary experience remains central to TCSM’s appeal. Visitors can explore various food trucks and stalls that serve everything from classic Hong Kong snacks to international flavors.
It’s a food lover’s dream, all in one lively outdoor setting.
Among the vendors, Tai On Coffee & Tea stands out for its nostalgic Hong Kong-style drinks. Their mix of coffee and tea offers a comforting start to any TCSM day. Another favorite, Amaze Dumplings, presents traditional dumplings with inventive flavor twists, satisfying every craving.
For bubble tea fans, Silk Bubble Tea will be on hand with both classic and creative flavors. Snack Baby Gelato, a hit in Hong Kong’s dessert scene, brings its creamy, colorful treats—perfect for a midday cool-down. With flavors for every taste, Snack Baby Gelato is a must-try.
Those who love baked goods can visit Jackson’s Scone, known for its fresh, fluffy scones in various flavors. These scones are perfect for a quick snack or a coffee pairing. For happy hour, Heroes Beer Co. offers locally brewed beers, making it an ideal stop for a relaxed evening drink.
Each vendor adds a unique touch, creating a tapestry of tastes that showcases Hong Kong’s culinary diversity. Whether grabbing a quick snack or settling in for multiple dishes, there’s something for everyone.
This year, TCSM is more than just a food market. It’s an immersive cultural experience that captures the best of Hong Kong’s flavors, creativity, and community spirit. Visitors can stroll through the stalls, sampling food, listening to music, and engaging in interactive activities.
The Crazy Golf Experience brings a playful touch, giving visitors a unique activity while they explore. Meanwhile, the busking performances and live music create a lively, festival-like vibe.
Every corner holds something new, making TCSM a place of discovery.
Hosting TCSM at Taikoo Place adds to its welcoming atmosphere. Families, friends, and solo visitors alike can find something to enjoy. The layout makes exploring easy, with vendors and attractions spread across a spacious, accessible area.
Free entry further enhances the market’s appeal, letting anyone drop in and enjoy the experience. While activities like Crazy Golf require tickets, the main event remains open to everyone. This inclusivity aligns with TCSM’s mission to create a space for community connection and celebration.
As Hong Kong gears up for TCSM from November 16-24, excitement is building. With so many options, the market promises a memorable experience for all. Visitors can come for the food, stay for the music, and return for the games, each visit offering something fresh.
From its simple beginnings to its status as a citywide event, TCSM continues to grow and innovate. This year’s market reflects Hong Kong’s dynamic energy, creativity, and love for food.
As the city prepares for another round of TCSM, it’s clear: this will be a one-of-a-kind experience.
